Our story
Vecta was born from a deeply personal moment. As a parent, our founder watched his own children navigate a school system that offered marks but no real visibility. Gaps went unnoticed, teachers were overwhelmed, and parents were the last to know — the same broken connection millions of Indian families experience every day.
Why Vecta exists
Students fall behind silently. Teachers notice too late, parents hear too little, and by the time an exam reveals a gap, months of learning are already lost. Vecta was built to close that gap — giving schools visibility at every level, from the admin's office to the parent's phone.

Founder
Dinesh Selvarajan is a VITian, an alumnus of the Vellore Institute of Technology — one of India's most prestigious universities, an institution that has produced world-class leaders across technology, entrepreneurship, defence and innovation, from India's first female naval pilot to founders of iconic Indian startups like TVF and Nazara Games.
With 17 years of corporate experience spanning e-commerce, project management, ITES, shipping and logistics, RPA, AI, automation, banking, and development coaching, Dinesh has built a career at the intersection of operations excellence and emerging technology. A Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Business Excellence Master Black Belt, and Certified AI Solutions Architect, he brings a rare combination of structured thinking and cutting-edge technology leadership to everything he builds.
With SMETech as his vehicle and Vecta as his first education technology venture, Dinesh set out to solve one of India's most pressing problems — not by replacing teachers or schools, but by connecting them.
